Lauryn Atkinson

Lauryn is owner and program director of Jersey Pride Cheerleading. As a child, she was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader. Lauryn began her coaching career as a gymnastics instructor and began coaching cheerleading 13 years ago. She coached and choreographed for the highly successful cheerleading program at Washington Township High School from 1998 through 2009. She led the program to numerous championship titles during her tenure and became one of the strongest programs in the state of NJ.
She has a B.A. in Elementary Education and Sociology and has been a middle school teacher for the past 8 years. Lauryn and her husband Kevin welcomed their first child, Lily Kristina, on October 1, 2009.
 

Kevin Atkinson

Kevin is owner and VP of Jersey Pride Cheerleading. Kevin has been side-by-side with Lauryn for the past 16 years. He has a B.S. in Human Resource Management and a Psychology minor. Since 2001, Kevin has worked as a human resource generalist and retail sales manager. Since Jersey Pride Cheer Gym’s inception, Kevin has assisted with various programs in the gym. In addition, Kevin is the retail manager and an integral part of Jersey Pride.

Crystal Giorla

Crystal started cheerleading at the age of 4.  She cheered for both her high school and all-star teams.  She went on to attend Camden County College and studied Medical Technology.  She later graduated from Rizzieri Aveda Institute for Beauty and Wellness for skincare and is currently an esthetician.

Joe Hoopes

Joe cheered for Montclaire State University and later graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  Joe is a former high school cheerleading coach and has been a tumbling instructor for many years.  He is currently a middle school teacher. 

John Jefferies

John began gymnastics at the age of 6.  He continued gymnastics through college and was a member of the Temple University gymnastics team for 3 years.  He graduated from Temple in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology.

Zeke Jenkins

Lindsey McGrath

Lindsey started cheering at age 6 and shortly after began gymnastics. Lindsey competed on the WTHS Gymnastics team from 1996-1999 and Cheerleading from 1997-2000. She was chosen for the All-Girl cheerleading team at Rutgers University from 2000-2004. By her senior year, the team had gone on to place 2nd at NCA College Nationals. Throughout college she taught at UCA cheer camps and judged many competitions. Lindsey graduated from Rutgers in 2004 with a Communication degree and is currently working for the Gloucester County Times in the advertising department.
 

 

Jessica Parsons

Jessica started cheerleading when she was eight years old. She continued cheering through high school at the varsity and all-star levels.  Jessica later cheered for La Salle University’s football, basketball, and competition squads. During college she began coaching all-star cheerleading. Jessica graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in Regular and Special Education. She is currently teaching at Southwark Elementary School.
 

Donna Renner

Donna has been the office manager at Jersey Pride since its inception. Most importantly, she is the head coach of our parent team, Michaela’s Pride.  Donna holds a B.A. in Mathematics and is currently working towards a dual Master's Degree in Business Administration and Supervisory Excellence.

Franny Rossi

Franny began gymnastics at the age of 3. She later became a member of the Washington Township High School Gymnastics Team. She then began all-star cheerleading. She was a member of Washington Township High School cheerleading from 2000-2002. She began instructing gymnastics/tumbling classes in 2003. Franny went on to attend West Chester University graduating with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Health and Physical Education. Franny is currently an elementary physical education teacher.
